Apple has introduced its latest iteration of wireless earbuds, the AirPods 4. These new AirPods come in two versions, giving users a choice between standard functionality or Active Noise Cancellation (ANC).

Enhanced Audio and Comfort

The AirPods 4 boast improved audio quality, delivering a richer and more immersive listening experience. Apple has also focused on comfort, claiming these are the “most comfortable AirPods ever.”

H2 Chip and Advanced Features

Powered by the H2 chip, the AirPods 4 support Personalized Spatial Audio and enhanced voice isolation during calls. Notably, the standard AirPods model now offers active noise cancellation, a feature previously limited to the AirPods Pro line. Additionally, Transparency mode and Adaptive Audio further enhance the user experience.

Smaller Case, Longer Battery Life

The new charging case, now equipped with USB-C, is Apple’s most compact yet, providing up to 30 hours of total battery life. It also supports wireless charging and has a built-in speaker for Find My.

Innovative Gesture Controls

The AirPods 4 introduce gesture controls, allowing users to answer calls or interact with Siri using simple head movements. This feature will also be available on AirPods Pro with the upcoming iOS 18 update.

Availability

The fourth-generation AirPods, or AirPods 4, are available for pre-order now and will be officially released on September 20th.
