Human Mobile Devices (HMD) has introduced two new feature phones, the HMD 130 Music and HMD 150 Music, targeting consumers who prioritize music playback. The company announced the launch alongside the renewal of its partnership with the Rajasthan Royals cricket team for the 2025 Indian Premier League (IPL) season.
The newly launched feature phones feature dedicated music control buttons, aiming to provide a seamless music experience for users. Both models are equipped with a 2500 mAh battery, Bluetooth 5.0 connectivity, and USB Type-C fast charging. They also incorporate Unified Payments Interface (UPI) features, with the HMD 130 Music supporting built-in UPI payment capabilities and the HMD 150 Music offering a scan-and-pay functionality.
The HMD 130 Music and HMD 150 Music boast a large rear speaker for enhanced audio output and come with inbox earphones. The company claims up to 50 hours of music playback and 36 days of standby time on a single charge. Design elements include reinforced corners and a scratch-resistant screen for durability. The HMD 130 Music also features a dual flashlight.
For entertainment, the phones offer wireless and wired FM radio with FM recording, along with Bluetooth 5.0 and microSD card support for storage expansion up to 32GB. A “Phone Talker” feature provides text-to-speech functionality in Hindi and English. HMD is offering a 1-year replacement guarantee on both devices.
In addition to the phone launch, HMD announced the continuation of its partnership with the Rajasthan Royals as their official smartphone partner for IPL 2025. This marks the second year of collaboration between the two entities.
Ravi Kunwar, VP and CEO of HMD India and APAC, stated at the launch event that the new phones cater to the diverse needs of Indian consumers, particularly first-time users seeking durable devices. He also mentioned the company’s upcoming launch of an entry-level 5G smartphone.
Alok Chitre, Chief Business Officer of Rajasthan Royals, also commented on the renewed partnership, expressing enthusiasm for the continued association.
The HMD 130 Music is priced at ₹1,899, and the HMD 150 Music is available for ₹2,399. The phones will be sold across leading retail stores in India, on the HMD website, and through various e-commerce platforms.
