Following the recent launch of the iPhone 16 series, Apple is expected to host another event this October, focusing on Mac and iPad updates. While an official date hasn’t been announced, rumors suggest a range of new products could be unveiled.

iPad mini 7

The iPad mini 7 is anticipated to address the “jelly scrolling” issue that plagued its predecessor, the iPad mini 6. This issue, which caused uneven screen refresh rates, even led to a class-action lawsuit against Apple. While the new model is rumored to retain the 60Hz LCD display, a redesigned screen assembly aims to eliminate the wobble. Performance is also expected to get a boost, potentially with the A17 Pro chip or the A18 chip, bringing significant improvements and Apple Intelligence support.

M4 MacBook Pro

Leaked unboxing videos have provided a glimpse of the upcoming M4 MacBook Pro. The new model is expected to feature an M4 chip with a 10-core CPU and 10-core GPU, along with a 14.2-inch Liquid Retina XDR display with ProMotion technology. Design-wise, it seems to closely resemble the previous M3 model. Connectivity options are said to include three USB Type-C ports with Thunderbolt 4 support, a MagSafe 3 port, a headphone jack, an HDMI port, and an SDXC card slot.

M4 Mac mini

The M4 Mac mini is rumored to receive its first major redesign since 2010. Reports suggest a significantly smaller chassis, potentially comparable in size to the Apple TV. It may also feature three USB-C ports, an HDMI port, and a possible RAM upgrade to 16GB.

M4 iMac

The iMac is also expected to get an M4 chip upgrade, potentially accompanied by a RAM increase to 16GB. However, no major design changes are anticipated.

Apple’s October event is poised to be a significant showcase of the company’s commitment to its Mac and iPad lines. With powerful new M4 chips, refined designs, and a focus on addressing past issues, these updates could significantly enhance user experiences. While we await official confirmation from Apple, the rumored improvements suggest exciting times ahead for Apple enthusiasts.
